Electromagnetic flowmeter

Faraday's law of induction (which states that an induced potential is generated inside a conductor when a magnetic field passes through it) is the fundamental principle behind electromagnetic flowmeters. This measurement principle can be applied to conductive fluids flowing into a pipe where the magnetic field is perpendicular to the fluid direction. The induced potential in the fluid can be measured using two symmetrically arranged electrodes. The signal voltage U is proportional to the magnetic induction intensity B, the electrode spacing D, and the average fluid velocity v. Because the magnetic induction intensity...
Since B and the electrode distance D are constant, the signal voltage U is proportional to the average flow velocity V. The equation used to calculate the volumetric flow velocity shows that the signal voltage U is linearly proportional to the volumetric flow rate.

The SET800 is an electromagnetic flow sensor with a built-in capacitive level measurement system, suitable for conductive liquids.
The flow rate Q(t) through the measuring tube is: Q(t) = v(t) x A(t).

A(t) = the wetted cross-sectional area of the measuring tube. The signal voltage U is obtained from the electrode and is proportional to the average flow velocity v, and therefore also proportional to the flow rate q. The signal voltage is extremely weak, and the signal converter is used to amplify the signal voltage, filter it, and convert it into a signal for accumulation, recording, and output processing.
The wetted cross-sectional area A is calculated by a capacitive level measurement system installed inside the liner of the measuring conduit, combined with the known pipe inner diameter. The electronic mechanism for level measurement is housed in a single-piece housing. This electronic mechanism is connected to a discrete converter via a data communication bus.
The measurement principle involves electrode-induced voltage (proportional to flow velocity).
The magnetic field excitation coil of the inner capacitor plate used for height measurement measured the flow velocity based on known electromagnetic measurement principles. The two measuring electrodes were located at the bottom of the measuring tube, approximately 10% of the pipe's inner diameter at the liquid level.
This is to obtain reliable measurement results at a liquid level of 10%.
